So here is the pop up card. It's shamefully lifted from other peoples graphics but i've tried to explain how to do it so you can remake it yourself.

Technical bit first. you need to spit up the working area into 6 equal parts. the middle line being the main fold if you want to make it into a card.
then you want to place your pop up house. leave the two 6th's empty, use the the next two as the building and the next one as a roof
once you've drawn out the basic cut and fold lines you can start decoratind. It doesn't take a great artist, but i did cheat and used dider's flanalgraph images on mine from My Little House
photocopy or print your image so it's flat and then cut along the sides of the house and roof. i would also cut out the upstairs window.
(and yes i got a bit clever and added a bit to the roof, great but means it now sticks out of the card..oops)

Then comes the clever bit - the background. there is no relaiable shortcut to this. take your house and place a second sheet of paper behind it. mark the area inside the pop up house and get decorating.
Lastly i printed out some characters to play Peter, The Angel and Rhoda. It will reinfource the story if the children have to work out where to place each character.
